Man Sues over Glass in Burger

The lawsuit claims the burger contained a hidden glass fragment

A Chicago man sued Ramada Worldwide Tuesday after he says he was injured while biting into a hamburger that contained shards of glass.

Troy Palmer explains in the lawsuit that he was at Chicago’s Ramada hotel chain on Lake Shore Drive on March 12 in 2009 when he was served the burger with a “hidden glass fragment.”

The fragment broke his tooth, Palmer says.

The lawsuit accuses Ramada of carelessly maintaining its food, allowing glass to blend into ground beef.
