Who stabs a granny?
Someone stabbed a 78-year-old woman in her hospital room at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora Tuesday for unknown reasons.
The 39-year-old man was visiting a family member who was sharing the room with the victim allegedly stabbed the woman.
Aurora police arrived at the hospital on Highland Avenue at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday after receiving calls about the patient being stabbed in room 524. When they arrived at the room, family members and hospital security were trying to subdue the man.
The woman is in stable, but guarded condition says the release.
The man was arrested and is in custody, waiting to be charged through the Kane County States Attorney’s Office, according to the release. Police haven’t said what motivated the attack.
