Man Robs Subway Next To Chicago Cultural Center

The incident may be linked to a rash of robberies in the area, police said

An armed man robbed the Subway restaurant next to the Chicago Cultural Center early Monday, police said.

The man walked into the Subway at 66 E. Washington St. at about 12:50 a.m. and demanded an unknown amount of money, police said. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s wearing a dark-colored hoodie.

Police note this is the latest robbery of area convenience stores and restaurants, though it's not clear whether this incident is connected to the others.

No arrests have been made, police said.
