Man Rescued From Chicago River

The man was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries

A man apparently dangling from a bridge early Monday over the Chicago River was rescued by paramedics after he went into the water.

The man was rescued just before 6:30 a.m. near Columbus Drive just south of the NBC Tower.

The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to early reports.

It's not clear what led to the fall, and police continue to investigate.
