Man Locks Repo Guy in Garage

Also resisted arrest, police say

A Park Ridge man had a rather unique way of dealing with the repo man.

On Tuesday, August 10, a repossession agent showed up at 52-year-old Janusz Poziemski's garage at 7 p.m. in order to acquire Poziemski's vehicle, reports the Pioneer Press.

As you can imagine, Poziemski was none-too-pleased and had no intention of letting the 33-year-old repo guy take away his vehicle.

So he ran out of the garage and locked the door from the outside,  police said.

We're sure it must have been a well thought out plan.

The repo man, locked inside, called police with his cell phone. Responding officers reported that Poziemski resisted arrest.

The vehicle owner was charged with unlawful restraint, concealment of collateral, and resisting a police officer.

Hopefully the vehicle was worth it.
