One person was killed Saturday morning in a car crash in north suburban Niles, police said.
The car reportedly slammed into a tree, barely missing a nearby home, around 2 a.m. in the 8100 block of Caldwell Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
Hours earlier, one person was killed when a car crashed into an Oak Lawn home’s garage.
