    A man died and two others were injured after a northwest suburban home went up in flames early Tuesday morning. NBC 5's Kye Martin reports. (Published Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015)

    A man died and two others were injured after a northwest suburban home went up in flames early Tuesday morning.

    Fire crews were called to a house in the 1600 block of West Waverly Court in Arlington Heights just before 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire.

    Upon arrival, two women told emergency responders they had been trapped inside the house but managed to make it outside to the home’s front lawn.

    One man could not make it out of the home in time, and despite firefighters attempts he died on the scene, officials said.

    Further information and identity of the victim has yet to be released.

    The cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to authorities.
