Man Critically Wounded in Barber Shop Shooting

A shooting at a South Side barbershop early Saturday morning left a man in critical condition, officials said.

The man, whose age was not immediately known, was shot multiple times around 2:45 a.m. in the 9000 block of South Ashland Avenue, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in “grave condition,” according to police.

Less than an hour later, two men were shot after leaving a party in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

The two left in their vehicle following a dispute at the party and when they were stopped in the 5000 block of South Indiana Avenue, a car pulled up beside them, police said. A man exited the vehicle and opened fire into their car, according to news affairs.

The men drove themselves to Mercy Hospital for treatment.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the leg and was listed in stable condition and a 27-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the hip and was listed in good condition.
