Charges were filed Saturday against a Chicago man accused of shooting his 27-year-old girlfriend on Christmas Day.
Jesse Thomas, 22, of the 1800 block of south Karlov Avenue, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic battery, and aggravated battery, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.
Police said around 9:36p.m. on Dec. 25, 2012, Thomas allegedly shot the 27-year-old woman in the head in the 1900 block of South Harding Avenue.
The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition at the time.
