Man Charged in Shooting Captured on Video

Little Village bartender shot at point blank range

A Chicago man was charged Thursday night, accused of shooting a bartender outside a bar in the Little Village neighborhood Wednesday night.

Adolfo Zuniga, 27, faces aggravated battery charges and use of a deadly weapon, according to Chicago police.

The 29-year-old bartender was opened the door to the Southwest Side bar in the 2600 block of West 24th Street at about 11:40 p.m. when a man walked up to him and him twice. The shooting was captured on a surveillance camera.

The bartender was listed in serious but stable condition at a local hospital with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and groin, according to police.

Police say Zuniga (right) was detained after officers on patrol saw him running from the scene.
