A Blue Island man faces several charges, including DUI, after a deadly car accident in the Morgan Park neighborhood Monday afternoon.
Walter Thompson, 30, was ticketed with trying to flee the scene after his SUV hit another car and pinned 45-year-old Charles Kimbrough against a CTA bus around 3 p.m. Monday, The Chicago Tribune reports. Thompson was arrested at the scene.
Kimbrough, 45, was unloading beer from a truck when he was hit. Crews took him to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he died less than an hour later, according to the Tribune.
Three other people also were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Thompson was cited with DUI and driving on a revoked/suspended license.
