Man Charged for Getting Naked in Movie Theater

The 34-year-old man exposed himself during "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked," police said

About 100 moviegoers got more of a show than they paid for last week at a North Riverside theater.

About thirty minutes after the start of "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" last Thursday at the Classic Cinema, a 34-year-old Chicago man walked completely naked in front of the audience, a witness told police.

The man, later identified as Edward L. Brown returned to his seat after exposing himself to 96 moviegoers, many of them children, police said.

Officers found Brown sitting completely naked in the front row. Brown was ordered to immediately get dressed and later was arrested and charged with several counts, including sexual exploitation of a child and disorderly conduct.

The cinema issued refund vouchers to the people in attendance.
