Thieves Grab $30,000 Worth of Apple Computers

Same store was robbed about five months ago

Mac addicts, look away.

About $30,000 worth of computer equipment was stolen from a Naperville Apple store early Sunday morning, police say.

Two people smashed the front doors of the store, at 120 W. Jefferson Ave., police said.  The robbers  wore ski masks and gloves and carried containers they filled with Apple items.

Police said they're reviewing security video from the store to see if any identities can be made.

Though the store isn't in a high-crime area, Sunday's smash-and-grab was the second robbery of the type in five months.  In the first robbery, theives made off with about $24,000 worth of equipment.

Police said they don't know whether the two crimes are related but are investigating that possibility.

Anyone with any information on the crime should call Naperville police at 630-420-6664.
