Lollapalooza Unveils Official Lineup, Schedule

Single-day passes available Wednesday

The speculation is over. Chicago music fans now officially know which bands will be performing at Lollapalooza this summer.

Festival organizers released the full lineup and schedule on Monday, more than a week before the initial planned announcement.

Headliners include The Cure, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, The Postal Service and Vampire Weekend.

The announcement may have been moved up after a photo of a magazine ad depicting the lineup went viral. Now that the official list of performers has been released, it appears the ad was the real deal.

For those who missed out on three-day passes, which sold out in less than three hours, single-day tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 3 instead of April 9.

The festival will be held August 2-4 in Grant Park.

Fans of hip hop will be happy to see the likes of Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz scheduled to perform, and electronic dance fans will also have their usual plethora of DJs to choose from, including Steve Aoki, Steve Angello and Flux Pavilion.
