Kris Bryant Smiles as He Records Final Out in World Series

It’s the moment that little kids dream of when they’re playing baseball in their backyard, and on Wednesday night, Kris Bryant got to make it as he fielded the ball that clinched a World Series championship for the Chicago Cubs.

Many players would be stone faced and concentrating hard on the task at hand in a situation like that, terrified of screwing up in front of millions of fans. Bryant though, is not most ballplayers, and he was smiling like a kid in a candy store as he made the winning throw to Anthony Rizzo:

Bryant, obviously, had plenty to be smiling about. After blowing a lead in the eighth inning, the Cubs came out of a rain delay and scored two runs to help secure the team’s first World Series title in over 100 years.
