Jill Biden Speaking in Chicago

The vice president's wife, Jill Biden, is expected to speak at McCormick Place Thursday.

Vice president Joe Biden's wife, Jill, will make an appearance in Chicago on Thursday for "Joining Forces," the national support program for military members and their families.

Biden is expected to appear at 9 p.m. at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's annual convention at McCormick Place, the White House said Tuesday. She will speak on how the cable industry can support "Joining Forces" which will be streaming live from live.thecableshow.com.

Biden will also meet with members of the Illinois National Guard and their families. Beau Biden, Biden's son and attorney general of Delaware, is a captain in the Delaware Army National Guard and served in Iraq in October 2008.
