Jet Magazine Preps For Makeover

New look to be unveiled with Aug. 2 issue

A national magazine produced in Chicago will have a different look and feel this month.

Crain's Chicago reports that Jet magazine is overhauling its look, with changes to include a brighter cover, a new logo and bigger photos.

Despite the visual overhaul, Johnson Publishing Co. plans to keep the magazine in small booklet form.

CEO Desiree Rogers was brought on board to revive the brand, which has been around since 1951, along with sister publication Ebony.

Rogers declined to comment to Crain's on the company's current financial outlook.

The magazine's new look will debut with the Aug. 2 issue.
