Interactive Olympics Tour to Race Into Chicago Friday

Olympics fans will be able to take part in dozens of sporting activities and take pictures on an Olympics podium

Olympics fans in Chicago Friday will have a chance to experience the spirit of the Olympics without jetsetting to London.

The Road to London interactive tour, an immersive athletic tour, is set to visit Chicago Friday in celebration of the 2012 London Olympic Games coming up at the end of July.

The interactive experience will be set up on the Plaza ouside of NBC's Studio 5 where Olympics fans will have the opportunity to try dozens of sporting activities to test some of the skill sets that Olympic athletes need most, as well as be a part of Team USA giveaways and athlete visits.

The plaza will be set up to allow visitors to take part in activities like table tennis to see how agile they are, to shoot rifles on a range to test their precision, and even to race around on a field hockey venue to see how their speed stacks up against others, among dozens of others.

Fans who have always wanted to be gold medal winners will be able to pretend they're living out their dream as they get their picture taken while standing on an Olympic podium, and fans who are less hand-eye coordinated can even play Olympic-themed video games.

The interactive event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday on the NBC Studio 5 plaza at 401 N. Michigan Avenue.
