Dine Well, Do Good: Inspiration Kitchens Serves Up Great Food For an Amazing Cause

If you’re looking for great food and also enjoy contributing to a great cause, look no further than Inspiration Kitchens.

With two locations in Chicago, Inspiration Kitchens not only provide delicious American cuisine but in conjunction with the Inspiration Corporation, they work closely with community outreach programs to bring opportunity and teach valuable skills to individuals working towards self-reliance.

The Garfield Park location at 3504 W. Lake St. features art work by students who are part of BUILD, a program which offers healthy and engaging services to at-risk youth. The simple, open concept design to the establishment is not only appealing to the eye, but it allows patrons to see the cooking staff hard at work as they prepare amazing single to three-course meals. The food selection ranges from traditional to traditional with a twist.

Breakfast at Inspiration Kitchens will start your day off perfectly. Depending on which location you visit, you can choose from the traditional Biscuits and Gravy or the Chorizo Biscuits and Gravy. Both are hearty and tasty.

Their skillets breakfasts are big enough to serve two people too. If you prefer a lighter breakfast or brunch, classic eggs, pancakes and french toast dishes are just as filling. The French Toast Special made with nutmeg, orange marmalade and Chantilly cream does not disappoint. The vegetarian tortilla soup and mouth-watering mac-n-cheese will keep you coming back for more as well.

The Uptown location 4715 N. Sheridan Rd. offers a dinner prix-fixe menu Wednesday through Saturdays after 5 p.m. for $26 that is well worth it. The delectable appetizers include Chicken Pot Pie Empanadas and Curried Chicken Soup while entrees such as the Hanger Steak with balsamic steak sauce or the Cornmeal Encrusted Tilapia have also gotten rave reviews.

The Garfield Park location features a dinner menu that ranges from Grilled Atlantic Salmon to Slow Braised Beef Short Rib. The southern-cooking influence at this location is evident throughout the entire menu. Did I mention the mac-n-cheese?

Not only will the food impress you, the staff is top notch.

The team at Inspiration Kitchens is eager to serve you with bright and welcoming smiles. The serving staff is attentive and knowledgeable about even the minutest detail about the meals.

For those of you who enjoy mimosas with your brunch or glass of wine with your dinner, Inspiration Kitchens is BYOB with no cork-fee.

You can call or go online to reserve a table or if you find yourself in the vicinity, walk in and give it a try.

Inspirations Kitchens will be worth the trip.
