How to Register for Chicago's 2017 Shamrock Shuffle

Registration for the 2017 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle has begun.

The annual 8K run will take place April 2 in Chicago as thousands of runners kick off running season in the city. The event is the largest of its kind in the world and the second largest race in Chicago after the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Entry to the event will be open until March 29, but early registration will offer discounted prices.

Tickets for the $40 entry fee sold out in September. The $45 entry fee window will remain open until Jan. 8.

After that, a $50 entry fee will be in place from Jan. 9 through March 17, followed by $55 through March 29.

New this year, the event will feature a 2 mile Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle walk. The untimed walk will take participants through "a scenic 2 mile course along Chicago's lakefront, starting and finishing in the same location as the 8K run."

Registration for the walk sits at $35 and will close once the event hits 1,500 participants.
