Hot Doug's Brings “Dog Dayz of Summer” Beer and Music Festival

Dreams do come true – something we know for sure after Hot Doug's announced Monday it will be back for one weekend only this June in the form of a summer beer and music festival.

Hot Doug’s has teamed up with Goose Island Beer Company for “The Dog Dayz of Summer,” an ultimate hot dog festival that will celebrate the classic Chicago dog on June 27 and 28.

Ticket holders will be able to enjoy an exclusive tasting of the “best hits from Hot Doug’s” paired with live music and cold beer. What more could you ask for?

Hot Doug’s owner Doug Sohn himself will even be working behind the counter at the fest – just like the old days – servin’ up fan favorites and chatting with customers.

“Since we closed last fall, the demand for a Hot Doug’s comeback has been humbling,” said Doug. “I’m excited to give fans another taste of Hot Doug’s – this time in a laid-back party atmosphere!”

Goose Island will pour specialty beers and the music will be a mix from live local punk and country bands.

The Dog Dayz of Summer will be produced by Criterion Productions, the same team who brings the Do Division Street Fest and Wicker Park Fest.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased by visiting dogdayzofsummer.com.

Admission includes Goose Island beer tickets, Hot Doug’s sausages and duck fat fries.

The Dog Dayz of Summer is a family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 at two different ticket times each day: Noon to 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a total of four separate ticketed sessions.
