HGTV Star Debuts New Design Show in Chicago

An HGTV star from Chicago is debuting a new show in her hometown.

Designer Alison Victoria stars in the new “Windy City Rehab” show premiering on New Year’s Day on the home improvement and real estate channel.

The show follows Victoria, who previously hosted "Kitchen Crashers" on HGTV, as she “spends megabucks to score fixer uppers in the city’s historic neighborhoods.”

“It’s my dream to flip houses in my hometown of Chicago, but renovating homes in this price point leaves a ton of money on the line,” Victoria said in a statement. “These are high-stakes projects that could spiral out of control at any minute. It’s big risks and big rewards.”

The first episode will feature a home in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood.

For fans looking to get a glimpse at her design style, Victoria last year listed her Wicker Park home for $1.5 million.

It's not the first time HGTV has brought a show to Chicago. Last spring the network brought its "Flip or Flop" franchise to the city in a pilot episode.

The show premieres at 8 p.m. CT as part of the HGTV Premiere New Year.
