Shots fired on a River North street Saturday ignited a police chase that continued onto the Eisenhower Expressway.

A male fired shots at a group of people about 2:39 a.m. in the 700 block of North Franklin Street, Chicago police said. He fled in a black Impala, and officers followed him onto the Eisenhower Expressway.
