A young girl has died after she was pulled out of a hotel pool in a northern suburb late Thursday.
Around 8:30 p.m., Gurnee firefighters found the girl unresponsive after being removed from inside a pool at the Holiday Inn at 6161 Route 132, according to Battalion Chief Jim Pellitteri.
Advanced life support measures were performed on the girl. She was taken to Condell Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead, according to fire officials.
Details on what happened weren't immediately clear.
