Gibsons Plans to Open Restaurant Inside New Building Along the River

Gibsons reportedly inked a deal for a two-story space inside River Point which includes a terrace with views of the river

A fourth Gibsons steakhouse could open along the river inside a new Chicago high-rise.

Gibsons Restaurant Group plans to open a new eatery inside River Point, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

The 52-story tower remains under construction at 444 W. Lake St. in Chicago’s Fulton River District.

Gibsons reportedly inked a deal for a two-story space inside River Point which includes a terrace with views of the river.

A spokeswoman told Crain’s that the restaurant group is planning a mid-2017 opening. Details on what exactly the restaurant will serve have yet to be released.

Gibsons opened Gibsons Bar and Steakhouse in the city’s Gold Coast in 1989, according to Crain’s. The steakhouse also has locations in Rosemont and Oak Brook.

Gibsons also owns Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, Quartino Ristorante and Luxbar, according to its website.
