Funerals Set For Slain Central Illinois Family

Pregnant woman and four other family members shot to death in small central Illinois town of Manchester

Family and friends are saying their final farewells to a pregnant woman and four other family members shot to death last week in the small central Illinois town of Manchester.

Services are to be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Roodhouse.

James Roy Ralston and Brittney Luark, their children — 5-year-old Nolan Ralston and 1-year-old Brantley Ralston — and Luark's grandmother, Jo Ann Sinclair, were killed April 24 at a home in Manchester about 50 miles west of Springfield. The suspected gunman was shot and killed after firing shots at police.

Obituary information reveals that Brittney Luark also was pregnant at the time of the shooting. The fetus did not survive.

A 6-year-old girl, Kassidy Ralston, survived the shootings.
