Four men were shot -- one fatally -- at a lounge early Sunday in the South Side Auburn Gresham neighborhood, police said.
The men were inside the lounge in the 8300 block of South Halsted about 2:40 a.m. when someone inside a passing vehicle fired shots into the club, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was later pronounced dead, Greer said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
A 39-year-old was shot in the buttocks and also taken to Christ, where his condition had stabilized.
A 32-year-old was shot in the chest and taken in serious condition to Stroger Hospital, Greer said. A 41-year-old was shot in the left ankle and taken to Little Company of Mary.
