Former High School Coach Faces New Sexual Assault Charge

A former Tinley Park High School teacher accused of having sex with an underage female student is facing new charges involving the same girl, the SouthtownStar is reporting.

Ryan Dolan, 29, was already facing aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges in Will County, stemming from a March 8 arrest in Tinley Park.

Now, the former head wrestling coach has been charged with criminal sexual assault involving the same student in Orland Park, according to a statement from Orland Park police.

The student was under age 18, police said.

Dolan was arrested and appeared before a Cook County judge in Bridgeview on Wednesday, where bondm was set at $250,000, police said.

Dolan, of Tinley Park, resigned from his positions at the school on March 11. He had been a faculty member since 2008, teaching history and coaching wrestling, freshman football anbd sophomore softball coach.

Dolan was arrested March 8 and had been suspended without pay.

He’s facing four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse from a position of trust and two counts of criminal sexual assault of a victim under the age of 18 in Will County.

Dolan’s next court hearing in Cook County is April 23, and in Will County April 24.
