One Chicago firefighter was injured at a fire in the city’s South Chicago neighborhood early Sunday.
The blazing fire, in the 8600 block of South Escanaba Avenue, took nearly one hour to put out and sent one firefighter to the hospital.
The injured firefighter was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in good condition but details on his injury were not immediately known.
The South Chicago fire was one of three to break out on the city’s Southwest Side within one hour Sunday. No injuries were reported in the other two fires.
