Firefighters Extinguish Lincoln Park Blaze

An early Sunday fire in the Lincoln Park neighborhood has been extinguished with no injures.

Firefighters responded to a call at 5:51 a.m. for a fire at a 2 1/2-story frame building at 2642 N. Halsted St., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado said. The building appears to be vacant.

The rear porches of the first and second floors were burning, Rosado said.

The fire, which was elevated to a still-and-box alarm, was extinguished at 6:46 a.m. and there were no injuries.
