Fire Blazes Roof of Bar in Old Town

A fire erupted Sunday aftenroon on the roof of Chicago's Old Town Social bar and restaurant.

Firefighters were on the scene of the small fire around 3:30 p.m. and the flames were reportedly extinguished by around 4 p.m., according to Chicago Fire Media.

Old Town Social tweeted the small fire was contained on the roof and the interior was not affected. The bar plans to reopen Sunday evening. 

The bar, located in the 400 block of West North Avenue, in the Old Town neighborhood, was reportedly open at the time the fire began but no injuries have been reported.
