Chicago Celebrates Iconic Film with ‘Ferris Fest'

Guests visited a “meticulously immersive” re-creation of Ferris' bedroom, and took part in a re-creation of the 'Twist and Shout' parade

Ferris Bueller fans in Chicago enjoyed a whole weekend celebrating America’s favorite absentee.

Organizers of Ferris Fest planned three days of events this weekend to honor the 30th anniversary of the film, including a screening of "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" in north suburban Lake Forest, a filming location tour, and more.

Guests stopped at the Art Institute, Cam’s house, and Wrigley Field on their tours, sharing great views of the experience on social media with the hashtag #FerrisFest.

Participants also got to see where it all began, Ferris’ room, visiting a “meticulously immersive” re-creation of the bedroom.
