‘Willson Deserved That Ball': Father, Son Win World Series Tickets After Returning Contreras' Home Run Ball

A Lake View father and son got the ultimate deal when they caught the home run by Willson Contreras in the 4th inning of Saturday night’s historic Cubs game.

Rahul Khare is a doctor who snagged the ball with his son’s glove. They agreed to give it back to Contreras so the Cubs offered World Series tickets in exchange after meeting with the Cubs slugger.

“Willson deserved that ball,” Khare told NBC 5. “He had a great year.”

Khare’s son, Dylan, an 11-year-old little leaguer was pretty excited about the whole ordeal.

“I got chills,” Dylan said. “It was really, really, really a big deal.”

Khare told NBC 5 he had a dream he was going to catch a home run during Saturday’s game—and it came true.
