"Empire" set its sights on Chicago Monday as crews turned out to film new scenes for the drama.
Filming began Monday morning on Hubbard Street near Dearborn on the Near North Side. It is scheduled to continue until 7 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.
As a result of the filming, parking in the area is restricted.
Crews have filmed scenes for "Empire" in Chicago before. They began shooting scenes for Season 2 in Chicago on June 23 and are expected to continue through March, the Tribune reports.
"Empire" has also held casting calls for extras in Chicago over the past several months.
Season 2 of "Empire" premieres Sept. 23.
