Drunk Woman Bites Family Dog

The woman was charged with animal cruelty, underage drinking

A Lake in the Hills woman is facing charges after police say she bit the family dog after a night of drinking.

Analise Garner, 19, is out of jail after posting bail on charges of animal cruelty, domestic battery and underage drinking, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Police were called to her home on the 300 block of Village Creek Drive early Sunday and found her bulldog with bite marks on its back. They say Garner's mother had also been bitten and hit in the face.

Sgt. Mike Smith told the Tribune the dog did bite back in self-defense.

"There were no charges against the dog," Smith said.

Garner needed medical attention for the bite so animal control was notified of the incident.
