Drunk Guy Falls on Red Line Tracks

A drunk man who fell onto the Red Line tracks in the Rogers Park neighborhood is lucky to be alive.

The 21-year-old South Side man was so drunk while standing on the platform at the Howard station, he vomited on himself, stumbled forward and fell onto the tracks at 12:59 a.m. Sunday, police said.

An alert CTA employee saw the man fall on the tracks and immediately cut the power, police said.

The man wasn't hurt, but was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was being held until later Sunday morning for observation.

He isn't expected to be charged with anything.
