Dancing Police Officer's Viral Moves Help Raise Money for Charity

A Tennessee police officer is spreading holiday cheer in an unexpected way during the Salvation Army’s Kettle Drive this season.

Cleveland Police Officer Sean Bulow made headlines across the country for his entertaining dance moves while bell ringing outside an area Walmart this week.

Cleveland police said officers were battling with the Bradley County Sheriff’s office, which also had officers bell ringing at the Walmart Monday, to see who could raise more money.

During the challenge, Officer Bulow was caught on camera ringing a bell and dancing to Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.” The video has since been seen nearly half a million times and shared more than 6,200 times.

The officer’s moves were so popular he even returned to the Walmart later in the day because of “tons of cars coming by to donate and asking for the Dancing Police Man,” the department said.

It was not immediately clear how much money the department raised during the event.
