Dad Accused of Threatening to Kill Coach

Police: Threats made after coach benched man's daughter

A Lisle man was arrested late last week after police say he threatened to kill his daughter's volleyball coach and rape his family members.

The threats were allegedly made after John Kasik's daughter was pulled from a volleyball game on Thursday, the Daily Herald reports.

According to the newspaper, Kasik followed the coach after the game in his car and verbally abused him, and followed up with numerous threats via voice mails and text messages throughout the evening. He's also accused of getting physical with Lisle High School Athletic Director Dan Dillard during a meeting at the school the next day.

Kasik, 61, is charged with felony telephone harassment and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct.

He posted bond and was released from custody Monday.
