Cubs Celebrate Jackie Robinson West on Labor Day

U.S. Little League World Series champions visit Wrigley Field

Jackie Robinson West got some Cubbie love Monday.

The U.S. Little League World Series champions were the special guests of the Chicago Cubs as they kicked off a 6-game homestand against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Manager Darrold Butler threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game and the team led the 7th inning stretch from the field.

"They are doing great. Handling all of the attention very well," Butler said of his players.

"I like all the attention, so I'm going to go with it until it is all over," player Trey Hondras said.

"It feels good. It felt really good when they invited into their locker room," player Marquis Jackson said.

The Cubs wore the Little League team's Jackie Robinson West jerseys and caps during warm-ups. The uniforms will be auctioned off at Cubs.com with the proceeds benefiting the little league team.

The Chicago White Sox honored the team Saturday with a special pre-game celebration.
