Cubs Dress Up as Pretty Princesses for Rookie Ritual

The Chicago Cubs have one of the most fun-loving managers in the game of baseball, and that spirit has carried over into an annual rite of passage for rookies: dress-up day.

That day for the Cubs finally arrived on Thursday after the team knocked off the Cincinnati Reds to extend their current winning streak to five games. Kris Bryant, Jorge Soler, Kyle Schwarber, and the rest of the team’s rookies celebrated the victory by dressing up as princesses in the clubhouse.

Fortunately for us, Schwarber provided photographic documentation of the event:

Before we get too distracted by Schwarber dressed as Little Red Riding Hood or Bryant dressed as Elsa from “Frozen,” we are forced by internet law to ask this question: who wore it best?

The Cubs are headed to Milwaukee for a three-game series against the Brewers that will wrap up the regular season. They will then have two days off before playing against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National League wild card game next week.
