Cubs Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Style With Mariachi Band

The Chicago Cubs just got done with their “zany minimalist” trip, which saw players dress up in crazy suits as part of the fun, but with Thursday being Cinco de Mayo, the team continued to have a good time as they prepared for their series against the Washington Nationals.

Prior to the game, the Cubs and manager Joe Maddon welcomed a full mariachi band into their spacious new clubhouse for some festive fun.

Dexter Fowler also got in on the sharing for the sake of fans:

Whatever the Cubs want to do in terms of having a good time seems to be working on the field. The team has a six game lead in the National League Central heading into the game Thursday night, and they currently have the best record in baseball as they sit at 20-6.
