Crude Senior Prank Letter Distributed at Suburban School

It is the second senior prank reported at the school this week

Up to 100 copies of a senior prank letter about a “Mandatory Vagina Inspection” were distributed at a northwest suburban high school Tuesday, the Lake County News-Sun is reporting.

The letter with graphic language was printed on paper with the district logo were distributed throughout Lake Zurich High School, District 95 officials said. A photo of the letter has been shared hundreds of times on social media as well.

According to District 95 communications director Jean Malek, school officials do not know who was responsible for the prank. She added that any school discipline won’t be publicized.

“The high school has confirmed that such a letter was distributed as a prank,” Malek said.

A similar prank was reported at a high school in Minnesota last week. The same message appeared on official Prior Lake High School letterhead and was hand-delivered to home mailboxes, according to published reports.

Police in Minnesota reportedly investigated that incident, but Lake Zurich police Cmdr. David Bradstreet said his department won’t dedicate much time to it. Bradstreet noted that the local incident appears to have been confined to school grounds.

“There’s really no crime to investigate. It’s a senior prank, but they didn’t use horrible language and they didn’t commit any crimes,” Bradstreet said.

Lake Zurich students also posted photos on social media of a second prank this week. Called “senior nap time,” students laid down in the hallways during passing periods so no one could get through.
