Parolee Captured in Glenview After Escaping Custody: IDOC

A parolee who escaped Illinois Department of Corrections custody Tuesday morning was captured later that night in Glenview, officials said.

Kir Moorman, 29, fled with handcuffs around one wrist about 10:38 a.m. when a parole agent attempted to restrain him, Lindsey Hess, a spokesperson for IDOC said in an email. He escpaed custody in the 2700 block of East 81st Street in the South Chicago neighborhood.

No one was injured, Hess said.

Moorman was in Chicago police custody Tuesday night.
