Cook County Services will be limited Friday.
The county's 16 health clinics, along with pharmacies and labs, are closed for the first of five shutdown days to balance the budget.
Stroger, Oak Forest and Provident hospitals, as well as their emergency rooms, will remain open. So will the urgent care clinic at Fantus Health Center.
The county courts will remain open, but the clerk and treasurer's offices will be closed. For a complete list of closings, visit the county's website.
The remaining shutdown days are May 27, July 1, Sept. 2 and Nov. 25.
