A convicted felon has been arrested and charged with shoving and punching an 80-year-old man in the face while the man waited for the bathroom at a Northwest Side grocery store.
Dale Contursi, 47, of the 9600 block of West Higgins Avenue in Rosemont, was charged with aggravated battery to a senior citizen, according to Chicago News Affairs.
The attack was captured on a surveillance security camera and showed Contursi exiting the bathroom in the grocery store in the 4700 block of North Cumberland Avenue. He then shoved the elderly man and cornered him, punching his in the face.
The incident happened on Feb. 23. When Contursi returned, security recognized him and called police.
According to News Affairs, the victim was not hospitalized.
