Construction Worker Killed After Fall from West Side Roof

A construction worker died Saturday after he fell from a roof in the city's West Town neighborhood, officials said.

Police said an unidentified man was working on a building in the 400 block of North Morgan Street around 9:15 a.m. when he fell to his death.

The man, whose age was not immediately known, fell roughly 35 feet and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Michael Sullivan.

Details surrounding what caused the fall were not immediately known.
