Search For Loop Bank Robbery Suspect Briefly Halts CTA Trains

Blue and Red Line service resumed at approximately 4:26 p.m. Friday following earlier delays

Blue and Red Line trains were halted for a brief period during the Friday afternoon rush hour as police in the Loop searched for the suspect in a bank robbery, the CTA and police officials said. 

Trains were stopped at approximately 4:10 p.m. near Clark and Lake, but service had resumed with delays as of 4:26 p.m. 

The FBI's Chicago office confirmed agents were responding to a robbery at the Fifth Third Bank located at 57 E. Randolph St.

Further information about the robbery and potential suspect weren't available Friday evening.
