2 Officers Hurt in Two-Car Crash on South Side

Three people, including two officers, were injured when an unmarked Chicago police car crashed into another vehicle in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side on Saturday morning.

The two-car crash happened at about 9 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Union, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said, citing preliminary information.

The officers were taken to Stroger Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition, according to police news affairs. The driver of the other car was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and is also in stable condition.

Police are continuing the investigation.
