A Southwest Side man faces charges for a crash that seriously injured a Chicago police sergeant this week.

Rolando Robledo, 33, of the 6600 block of South Mozart has been charged with felony aggravated DUI and misdemeanor DUI in connection with Wednesday morning's crash at 59th and California.

Police said the officer's vehicle collided with Robledo's vehicle at the intersection, sending the squad car into a light pole and Robledo into the side of a Mexican restaurant.
