Chicago Flight Forced to Make Emergency Landing in Indianapolis

More than 200 people were on the flight at the time, airline officials said

A Frontier Airlines flight from Chicago to Palm Beach, Florida was diverted to Indianapolis Sunday night due to a fuel issue.

Flight 1334 took off from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport around 10 p.m., airline officials said, before it was forced to make the unexpected landing in Indiana just before midnight.

Frontier Airlines spokesman Jim Faulker said there were 205 passengers and seven crew members on board at the time. No injuries were reported.

Faulkner said although the flight originated from O’Hare, the plane did not. The Airbus A321 aircraft is less than a year old, Faulker said, and had not shown any prior issues prior to departure.

Officials say all of the passengers were put on another plane, which landed at the flight’s intended destination of Palm Beach International Airport around 6 a.m. Monday morning.
